I was seated promptly at a table for four even though they were slammed at 7pm on a Friday evening. I was seated in a closet sized room with a few other tables and a view of the parking lot. I ordered a Captain Ron roll and a selection of sushi nigiri. My drink arrived promptly & I began texting friends as I waited for my sushi to arrive. After awhile it arrived & down it went. It was all delicious. Would I go back? Maybe if I wasn't seated in a closet.

So we tried this place several times, and we wanted to like it....but it just isn't happening. We have friends who love the place so we're been several times, it just wasn't our favorite. They have a limited number of rolls, just okay tasting sushi and horrible service. Both times we went the servers were slow to nonexistent throughout the meal, and didn't seem to care all that much about serving us. One time we were even put in this oddly shaped room that holds like 4 tables, makes you feel like they set you in a closet, and made the wait staff even slower at getting around to us. The second time there it wasn't quite so bad, but it wasn't great by any means. If we go back it will be only because our friends love the place. The ambiance is okay as long as you don't get stuck in the weird "closet room." The rest is typical boring decor painted in neutral colors. The seating in the rest of the place also is a little tight where you are sitting pretty close to the next table and there is no sense pf privacy. I'm sure we will go again, but it will not be because it was our idea

Having lived in Japan for a bit, I'd say Yuki is the only legitimately Japanese restaurant in Bowling Green. (Haru Sushi is a good contender, though) It's frikkin' delicious, and they offer quite a few items that most psuedo-Japanese restaurants don't (like natto, full bento boxes, cold soba, katsudonburi), while shying away from those ubiquitous plates of fried rice + pan-seared veggies and meat + flavored mayo/ranch. The sushi's delicious, and the wait staff is great. Good choices for alcohol, too.

We come to BG once a year and ALWAYS come to Yuki's. We have tried many, many sushi restaurants and this is by far our favorite. The crunchy shrimp and the rolls with the spicy sauce are fantastic.

I ordered nigiri 9 pieces, tempura appertizer, and fried soft crab. Nigiri is fresh!!! I love the scallop and salmon the best. The atmosphere is great and service is friendly. I recommend ;)

Excellent Japanese fare, wide variety of sushi and traditional dishes

Prices are through the roof sometimes. That makes people around here think that it tastes better, I guess. Still great sushi though.

Best sushi to be found in Bowling Green. The firecracker roll is to die for. Thursday to Sunday, reservations a must.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had. I've had sushi in California, Miami, Florida Keys, Hawaii, and elsewhere. Who would have thought some of the best sushi I wound ever have would be in Bowling Green, KY!!! The staff was very friendly. Not really sure who our waitress was. There were 3-4 extremely friendly and helpful waitresses that helped us during the meal. I would highly recommend!!!

Every. Single. Thing we had was absolutely amazing. We're from out of state and the next time we come back through we will be back! We had the Eel roll, Spider roll and the Tempura roll, along with the steak teriyaki appetizer. The tempura roll was my favorite!!Such flavor!!

This place was an awesome find on our trip down south. And we lucked out (thank you, college town!) The Nigiri was amazing, with the biggest egg omelet nigiri I've ever seen, which was truly delicious. All the nigiri was fresh and tasty in general, but what stood out for me was the terrific savory and sweet eel, while the bonito won the show - we actually ordered more of it. The bonito tasted, as Hannah, our incredible palindromic waitress pointed out, like seared steak. Just peppery and mouth-wateringly good. (As for Hannah, she was delightful, fun, and funny the whole night.) The miso soup was worth the $2 though there wasn't a lot to it. We got three rolls: The Mermaid roll was tasty, though a bit heavy on the sesame seed flavor, with a good spicy finish. The Manhattan roll was interesting as the lemon on top tied well into the creaminess of the blue cheese and succulent salmon. Finally, the the Firecracker roll was simple but solid. Seared tuna with a drop of srirachi which got lost someone inside the rice. I would definitely recommend this place for its awesome service and the freshness of the fish... and the bonito. Oh good lord, the bonito!

Amazing, authentic Japanese food. I have eaten Japanese all over the world, and this is on par with anyone. I can't stress how authentic the food is. The service was also 5star. The waitress came over multiple times to make sure I was enjoying my meal. I will definitely eat here again.

Who knew we'd find great sushi in Bowling Green, Kentucky? The fish was ultra fresh and everything was very tasty. We will be back when we are in this area.

I love eating here. As much as I want to say that bowling green has great Asian restaurants I can't say that they do, but Yukis touches more of the authentic Japanese style of cooking. I highly recommend this place. There Katsu is so good along side of there chicken donburi. Sushi is amazing and the sake is on point! I return with a smile everytime!!!

Our server was extremely accommodating, and the food is good. Plenty of seating and the atmosphere is modern with Japanese aesthetics. Our group had 14 adults and 2 kids, and we were all happy!

The sushi is phenomenal here, and the service even better! It is really a diamond in the rough and definitely our favorite restaurant in town. They apparently have access to fresh fish that has recently been flown in, which is how it's possible to have a sushi restaurant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, that rivals restaurants on the coasts. We are very thankful for this place!

Yuki is the BEST sushi place in Bowling Green, maybe in a 100 mile radius. Check out the specials and don't be afraid to ask for special orders. Great staff. Fair prices. Matches what I've had in San Francisco and New York. Yes it is that good.
(5)Lance M.
I have eaten sushi all over the country from coast to coast and when I'm home I eat my sushi here its super authentic and never Americanized so eating here feels like you are eating sushi how the Japanese have for thousands of years try it out

All i can say is that the sushi was the best I've ever had before. The salad was really fresh and the miso soup was very good. I had the tempura mix, shrimp, chicken, and some mixed veggies(cucumber, sweet potato, onion) very fresh, crisp and delicious. My wife had the seafood bento, everything that came with it was also very fresh, tasty and filling. The service and staff were all very friendly and helpful. If I'm ever back in the area I will make sure to stop by again.

This was the best Japanese meal I have ever had in the USA. I have traveled to Japan several times and this is as close to traditional as I have had. Sukiyaki Donburi was the dish that I had today and it was great. You must be hungry when eating this dish, as it is probably more than anyone person should eat, but it was worth the over full feeling for the next hour or so.

My all-time favorite sushi restaurant. The sushi is so fresh. I always ask for the same waitress :-) She is wonderful as I'm sure the rest are as well. I love to try unusual, to me, foods that they offer. I tried the snail and plan to try tongue in the near future. Some of my favorite rolls are the mermaid and piano rolls along with many others. We also have the gyoza for appetizer. You know it has to be very good and authentic when you look around and half the customers are from Asian decent. Yes please! Ready to go back right now.

One of the best places that I have had the pleasure of enjoying sushi. I have traveled the world and still think Okinawa is the best! This place is up there! Please take the time and sit at the sushi bar and enjoy some wonderful unique sashimi, sushi and other items along with great conversation!!!!
(5)Saif A.
Absolutely perfect! The staff was amazing and the food was immaculate. Hands down best sushi I've ever had and I'm definitely visiting again. Prices are great too.

The Chop Chop is by far my favorite sushi roll paired with salad, gyoza (steamed) and hot tea. The sushi chefs are friendly as well as the wait staff. If you go with kids, go early when it is not full and get a table by the wall, not in the middle. I would suggest NOT going into the small room in the back unless you have a large group that fills the space. If they take you there and there are other tables, ask to be moved. The food is fresh and always wonderful. I have enjoyed Yuki for many years and always plan to return to dine in and for carry out when I am on the go.

We stopped in here on our way back from Nashville after frantically thumbing through Bowling Green restaurant reviews, and we were not at all disappointed by what we found. Seated promptly, we were attended to by a lovely server who answered our questions and explained items on the menu with aplomb. We both ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box with black sesame/red bean ice cream and found everything to be pretty decent without being extremely overpriced. The service was the real winner--staff was super friendly and helpful! I am not in love with Yuki, but I am in strong like with them.

If you ever are visiting Bowling Green, or even driving through, and you like sushi, you won't find any better than Yuki Japanese. Bowling Green sushi lovers and relocated Japanese business men keep this business hopping, but it is little known outside of Bowling Green, but well worth a drive. It is located just off interstate 65, and the food is worth the stop. We like the blue crunchy shrimp roll, marriage roll, the California roll, and every single one of the tunas. My husband is much more adventurous than me, and he raves about every dish. I have eaten wonderful sushi in many big cities, but this is my all time favorite. The service is wonderful, and the prices are unbelievable. The setting and ambiance are not "fine dining," but it is clean and comfortable. I would hate to see major renovations because maybe that is why the food is so reasonably priced. We ordered 6 rolls the other night and tea, and got out for under $40. The main reason to go, however, is the delicious food!

Details, Details. You know you are in a real Japanese restaurant when they bring out the steamed towel for you to clean your hands. Then you see the extensive menu of raw. marinated and cooked sushi. Then the list of sashimi. The Bento boxes. The udon and soba bowls. The extensive menus of tempura, shumai and gyoza , etc. Wonderful ingredients. Wonderful presentations. Full bar. Probably the best and most consistently good restaurant in Bowling Green. This is where we take our out of town guests.

Pretty good. However, I forgot totell them no wasabi( my fault). Very good sushi. Very nice staff. The crunchy scallops very good and the catipiler was really good. $30 for lunch by myself seems pretty high, but I have paid more for less and bad service (Philly). Definitly going back.

This is the best Sushi within 100 miles. The owner, Joe, moved up from Nashville years ago after being written up in travel magazines. Other places may be more flashy, but this is genuine Japanese food with a lot of Sake options and THE BEST sushi. You won't regret it.

I came in for dinner at 6:50pm. I was told I could sit at the bar and it would be just a few minutes. After waiting for 20 minutes and being overlooked by the hostess not once, but twice for parties larger than my own with no reservation, I decided to take my hunger, my craving and my money somewhere else. Disappointing is the only thing I can say.

Kids menu is extremely limited. For kids, only teriyaki is available and the teriyaki they make has alcohol. I asked them to substitute for something without alcohol for my kids and they wouldn't agree. They told me to order from the adult menu for my young children (three times the price). Restaurants should have customer service and should accommodate parents that don't want to feed their kids alcohol!

I'm not sure how they do it, but despite my world travels, I've never found sushi to match that of Yuki's. I wake during the night...with a longing for their crunchy shrimp roll. To quote Rumi, "I hear your name, and something inside my chest, where not much happens now, moves as if in sleep".
(4)Anthony G.
Really lovely meal. Superb value and well served. Glad to have found the place so close to i65
(5)Ingrid H.
Had lunch at Yuki.. it was good. I'm not a huge sushi fan, so I chose the teriyaki chicken lunch special. It was very tasty. The menu had lots of options, making it difficult to choose. My friends had sushi and they all liked it. The consensus was it was "good for Bowling Green". We will definitely return. There were several other menu items I would like to try. On a side note: staff was super friendly and helpful.

Sarah was amazing. So knowledgable about the menu. Everything was great. Definitely will be back.

Delicious food at an excellent price. We stopped while traveling along the expressway. It was a much better choice than the usual chains.

Delicious tucked away Japanese restaurant in BG. Are there today for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. Delicious unassuming Japanese food. Great prices, great service, excellent food! I cannot wait to go back with my family!
